As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a key role in our mission to prevent terrorism, enhance security, and ensure the efficient management of cross-border traffic. This position offers an opportunity to defend our nation's borders from illegal activities while ensuring legitimate trade and travel. Detect and prevent the illegal entry of individuals and contraband across U.S. borders. Maintain vigilance and patrol border areas by vehicle, boat, and on foot. Use surveillance systems and gather intelligence to anticipate unauthorized crossings. Perform arrests and detain individuals suspected of violating immigration or customs laws. Prepare accurate and detailed reports on daily patrols and incidents. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on investigations and security measures. Ensure the proper application of laws, and assist in humanitarian operations when required. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions. Proficiency in using surveillance and communication equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with the public and law enforcement partners. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively handle unpredictable situations. Ability to process information and make decisions under pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k U.S. citizenship is required. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicants must pass a comprehensive background check, medical examination, and drug screening. Completion of the CBP Border Patrol Academy training program.
