Behavior Interventionists Needed (School-Based) in Montebello,
CA Area Location: Montebello, CA Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
(start/end times vary by school site and grade level) Grade Levels:
Kindergarten–12th Grade Compensation: $21–$27 per hour (based on
experience and qualifications) Start Date: August 2025 Now hiring
Behavior Interventionists for the 2025–2026 school year! We’re
seeking passionate and dedicated Behavior Interventionists to
support students across K–12 school campuses in the Montebello, CA
area. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to make a
lasting impact in the lives of students with behavioral needs while
working as part of a supportive school-based team. Behavior
Interventionist Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, 1:1 or
small group behavioral support to students with mild to severe
behavioral challenges. Implement individualized behavior
intervention plans (BIPs) under the guidance of BCBAs and other
school staff. Use ABA-aligned strategies and de-escalation
techniques to help students manage behavior and stay engaged in
learning. Assist in documenting behavior data, tracking progress,
and reporting observations to the broader IEP/behavioral support
team. Support students with transitions, routines, and redirection
as needed throughout the school day. Collaborate with teachers,
aides, specialists, and parents to ensure cohesive care and
consistency in behavioral supports. Maintain a calm and
professional demeanor when responding to challenging situations.
Support with toileting, mobility, or other ADLs as needed,
depending on student assignment. Behavior Interventionist
Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of experience working with
students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs
(preferred in a school setting). Understanding of ABA principles,
behavior management, and data collection. High school diploma or
equivalent required; relevant college coursework a plus. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and
solution-focused under pressure. Must be able to pass background
clearance. Ability to assist with physical support needs, including
