Community and Fandom is looking for an experienced Software
Development Engineer for our team in Culver City or San Francisco
office. As a Software Engineer, you will work both independently
and alongside teams in Music, Amazon, and third-party to architect
and develop large-scale solutions that will delight our customers
through voice and visual experiences. You’ll also be coaching other
engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and
encouraging excellence within the team. Our ideal candidate will
have: * Experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or
Android using Swift/ObjC or Kotlin/Java * Experience developing
cross-platform technologies, including React Native, Kotlin
Multiplatform / Compose Multiplatform * AND/OR * Experience
developing backend services using Java, NodeJs * Experience with
building large scale distributed systems on AWS or any other cloud
provider. * Ability to work independently with partner teams to
drive innovation and issue closure. * Passionate about building the
best customer experience end to end * Goal-oriented and
results-driven; thrives in a culture of ownership, delivery, and
bias for action * Enjoys working in fast-paced environments, and
communicates well with stakeholders, peers and team. About the team
Amazon Music Community and Fandom team is responsible for creating
differentiated experiences for fans and artists. We are looking for
new team members who are passionate about experimenting and
innovating for customers, have a demonstrable track record of
success in delivering new features and products, and is excited
about having end-to-end ownership of high-impact, high-visibility
projects. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale,
spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio
engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to
support our customer base. Amazon Music offerings are available in

that enhance their day-to-day lives. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3 years
of non-internship professional software development experience - 2
years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns,
reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience -
Experience programming with at least one software programming
language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3 years of full software
development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews,
source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent -
Experience building complex software systems that have been
successfully delivered to customers - Experience programming with
at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including

the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base
pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest
geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic
market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market
location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,
