Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in a facility or home care setting. We are looking for candidates in the following service areas; DOWNTOWN,CENTRAL SAN DIEGO, LA MESA, LA JOLLA, RANCHO BERNARDO AND POWAY. FOR NORTH COUNTY AREAS: ESCONDIDO, SAN MARCOS, VISTA, OCEANSIDE , CARLSBAD AND ENCINITAS. Salus Homecare is looking for caregivers available to work 4, 8 and 12 hour shifts available apply today-work tomorrow. Caregiver Compensation and Benefits: Health, Vision & Dental Holiday Pay 401k matching Paid Sick Leave Verizon Wireless Discount Referral Bonus Flexible scheduling Pays $18 to $22 per hour Caregiver Responsibilities: Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating Assist clients with medications, ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.) Assist clients with personal care and hygiene Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Qualifications: Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) - This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.
